What affects recording capacity?

The three basic factors that affect how quickly storage fills up in the case of cameras are

• resolution of the recording (e.g. 2K = ~2560 x 1440 px),
• frame rate (fps) - usually 15–25 fps and
• recording mode (continuous 24/7 or only when motion is detected).

AOSU usually uses H.265 compression, which is very efficient, better than the older H.264. This means less space at the same quality. If you use recording only on motion, then 128 GB will easily be enough even for a whole month (depending on settings). With continuous recording – for about 3–5 days. After the memory is full, the camera overwrites the oldest recordings (unless you set it otherwise).
