Mecool NOW KA2 is a set-top box based on Android TV version 10. Equipped with 2GB of RAM and 16GB of built-in memory, dual-band Wi-Fi and Bluetooth. It works like a standard Android Box, allowing installation of applications from the Play Store. It supports streaming services such as HBO Max, Amazon Prime, Player. The biggest innovation is the built-in camera enabling video calls and teleconferences.
The camera can be covered thanks to a mechanical lens cover. Opening and closing this element is indicated by an LED on the device. If the cover is closed, the LED lights up red, and if open, the color is green. Additionally, on the top housing there is a slider for turning off the built-in microphone.
Thanks to the built-in lens in Mecool KA2, you can take group photos in your home, e.g. during a family dinner, house party, etc. For photos, use the originally installed Camera application to get the best possible quality of photos and videos.
Built-in camera and the TikTok application - what more could you want? Record your videos using the FullHD resolution camera in the KA2 device. Watch yourself immediately on the TV or monitor screen, trim your clips and instantly share them online.
The Google Duo / Google Meet application is a leader among video calling applications. In the KA2 model, it is possible to answer calls with one button on the device housing or on the remote control (dedicated button).
Support for the ZOOM application during teleconferences and business meetings is a very practical solution. This Android Box has a built-in microphone so there is no need to pass any remote control, etc. to meeting participants.
The device is equipped with a built-in speaker that is ideal for handling calls. When KA2 is turned on and you receive an incoming call, you will hear a sound. Mecool KA2 will notify you about an incoming call similarly to your smartphone - it will simply ring to you on the screen of your TV or monitor.
Mecool NOW KA2 supports AV1 and HDR encoding, thanks to which the displayed image maintains sharpness and smoothness as well as fantastic color depth. The image does not stutter, and materials displayed in 4K resolution are of perfect quality.
