Development of television
Digital television has provided the development of additional services, such as pay-per-view, video on demand (VOD) or even the ability to make online purchases. Since the introduction of the new signal, the quality of transmitted data and the speed of transmission has increased. This means more channels for us, which are available over the terrestrial route in much better quality.
Many of the televisions sold in the last 3 years are compatible with the new standard. However, if you have an older receiver - be sure to check whether it will soon stop displaying channels. The first provinces switched to the signal already at the end of the 1st quarter of this year. Eventually, the standard will change nationwide on June 30, 2022. It's worth preparing for this change before then. The map shows the date when the old signal will be switched off in different parts of Poland.
