Poynting MIMO-3-V2-17 – the antenna chosen by professionals
The MIMO-3-V2-17 housing is made of durable
UV-stabilized ASA, used, among others, in industries requiring resistance to
solar radiation. This is not cheap plastic – it is a shell that
withstands years of sun exposure, without the risk of cracks, discoloration, or material
degradation.
The antenna works successfully in environments using
LoRaWAN, NB-IoT, LTE-M, Modbus RTU and other M2M protocols. Compatible with devices
from brands such as Teltonika, Sierra Wireless, Advantech, MikroTik, Robustel. You connect it and
it works!
The MIMO-3-V2-17 GSM mobile antenna is a solution for those who
take responsibility for what they install and want the certainty of top-tier equipment.
Compatibility and connectivity without compromise
The MIMO-3-V2-17 antenna combines as many as 7 modules in one housing: four for
LTE/5G, two for Wi-Fi, and one for GPS/GLONASS. It supports all popular cellular network bands, including
3.5 GHz (CBRS), and thanks to the built-in ground plane, it works reliably on any surface.
Equipped with 7 SMA connectors, it easily cooperates with routers and industrial devices.
LTE/5G with MIMO 4×4
Stable connection across the entire frequency range, support for popular 700/800/1800/2600/3600 MHz bands (including
B1/B3/B7/B20/B28, n77/n78).
Gain up to 6.2 dBi provides better coverage and higher speeds in mobile and
M2M/IoT applications.
Wi-Fi MIMO 2×2
Support for 2.4/5/6 GHz and Wi-Fi 4/5/6/6E standards with
gain up to 7 dBi – wider coverage and resistance to interference.
GPS/GLONASS
Dedicated GNSS path (1× SMA) with gain of 21 ± 2 dBi – fast
position acquisition and stable route tracking.
Resistant to harsh conditions – IP69K and IK10
MIMO-3-V2-17 is an antenna designed to work in all conditions – rain, snow, dust,
sun, or vibrations do not scare it. It meets IP69K and IK10 standards, which means full
resistance to pressurized water, dust, and mechanical damage. It can operate in temperatures from -40 °C to
+80 °C, so it will perform well both in winter in the mountains and in summer on a construction site. Additionally, the housing resistant to
UV radiation protects it from degradation in sunny locations.
Stability even in extreme wind
The MIMO-3-V2-17 has been tested for wind resistance up to 220 km/h, which
is confirmed by numerous laboratory trials and wind tunnel tests. This means that the antenna maintains
full stability even during a storm or while driving at high speed – without the risk of losing connection or
damage.
Who is the MIMO-3-V2-17 antenna a perfect fit for?
Are you looking for an antenna that works reliably in the field, in a factory, or on the water? The MIMO-3-V2-17 will work well, among others,
in:
• special-purpose and fleet vehicles – provides stable LTE in trucks, ambulances,
construction machinery
• smart metering systems – ideal for remote meters and measurement devices
• monitoring and M2M systems – reliable data transmission between machines, even in
difficult conditions
• precision agriculture – works on agricultural machinery and in remote farms
• marine and port installations – resistant to salt, water, and shocks
• industrial networks and automation – for IoT devices in halls, warehouses, and containers
MIMO-3-V2-17 mounting – flexible, on your terms
MIMO-3-V2-17 offers three practical mounting methods, making it easy to adapt the installation
to the location and working conditions. In the set, you will find all the necessary elements to quickly start
the installation.
1. Spigot Mount – two threaded spigots (35 mm and 75 mm) included,
ideal for vehicle roofs and system enclosures.
2. Surface Mount – possibility of attaching the antenna with 3M tape (included)
or fastening it with M4 screws.
3. Magnetic Mount – optional magnetic base, convenient for
temporary installations.
LTE signal stability – VSWR voltage standing wave ratio
MIMO-3-V2-17 maintains a very good VSWR ≤ 2.5:1 in approx.
90% of LTE/5G bands, which means low power losses and reliable transmission across the entire
410–3800 MHz range.
Real LTE signal gain across a wide band range
Poynting MIMO-3-V2-17 provides stable gain in various bands:
1.5 dBi (410–470 MHz), 2.2 dBi (617–960 MHz),
4.2 dBi (1427–1517 MHz), 6.2 dBi (1710–2700 MHz), and
4.8 dBi (3400–3800 MHz). Thanks to this, the antenna guarantees reliable coverage, greater stability, and
faster transfers in mobile and industrial applications – even in difficult locations or in motion.
Wi-Fi signal stability – VSWR voltage standing wave ratio
MIMO-3-V2-17 maintains VSWR ≤ 2.5:1 over approx. 95% of the Wi-Fi
band (2.4 / 5 / 6 GHz), which means high power transfer efficiency and minimal signal reflections. Thanks to this,
the MIMO 2×2 connection operates stably, with full use of bandwidth in
Wi-Fi 4/5/6/6E standards.
Real Wi-Fi signal gain across a wide band range
MIMO-3-V2-17 offers real signal gain: 3 dBi in the Wi-Fi
2.4 GHz band (2400–2500 MHz) and up to 7 dBi in the 5/6 GHz band (5000–7200 MHz). Thanks
to this, you gain greater range, a stable connection, and better transmission speeds in the
MIMO 2×2 configuration.

We live in times when we are all connected to the network all the time. We generally keep a mobile phone in our pocket. At home, however, we make sure that every room has stable and fast internet access. Constant access to information has become so common that we feel the need to always stay up to date. However, there are situations when we are in places where we do not have this network access. We are forced to accept the inability to check what is happening in the world or to use limited data packages on the phone. However, for the second option to be possible, you still have to count on having good coverage. To avoid this problem, the following article will present the benefits of using external antennas.
If you have problems with mobile network coverage, lose connections, GPS is lost, or the application displays the message "Internet connection interrupted" while driving, this article is for you. In some situations, the right antenna for cellular transmission is not only a convenient solution, but even a necessity. To take advantage of the potential of a given transport antenna, you need to choose the right model that will meet our requirements. This requires understanding the principles that guide antenna designers.
