Power over Ethernet PoE - what is it?
Power over Ethernet (PoE for short) is a technology for transmitting power over an Ethernet cable. This allows us to simultaneously power the device and provide information exchange. PoE technology is particularly popular for IP cameras, VoIP phones, Internet access points (Access Point) and POS terminals. Network devices using PoE are convenient to use, which makes them well-liked by installers. Taking a surveillance network, for example - normally one would have to pull a separate power and transmission cable for each camera. Here we can use a switch that both powers the devices and transmits information from them.

Watchdog
PoE watchdog constantly monitors the connection status of remote hosts. If an error is detected on a remote PoE device, the PoE switch immediately reboots the device to return it to normal operation.
