The PeakTech 4940 is a handy infrared thermometer with an excellent price/performance ratio that uses a laser to measure surface temperatures quickly, easily and accurately. The laser can be aimed at hot surfaces or moving objects, allowing the operator to easily record measured temperatures from a safe distance. The device is trigger-activated and instantly takes precise (0.1°C resolution) temperature measurements. Three function buttons next to the screen switch between °C and °F, activate the laser and display backlight. The tool is ideal for home use, as well as for professional temperature measurement in air-conditioning systems, heaters, data communication cabinets, current and other heat sources.
