The POWERCAM.PRO module is dedicated primarily to users of modern satellite receivers with built-in hard disk, so-called PVR (Personal Video Recorder).

It allows simultaneous decoding of multiple MPEG2 and MPEG4 programs, so at the same time you can watch one encoded program
and record another encoded program or even several encoded programs, depending on the technical capabilities of the receiver.
When using single-stream CAM modules in PVR receivers, you can record a coded program,
but watch only the unencoded program (or vice versa), which significantly limits the functionality of the satellite receiver.
The use of the POWERCAM.PRO module overcomes this limitation effectively and in a very simple way.

The POWERCAM.PRO module is used in modern digital CATV headends, IPTV, collective installations, hotel TV systems, etc., as the ability to simultaneously decode multiple programs (even an entire transponder) allows significant savings in the number of satellite decoders used. This reduces the amount of equipment used in digital headends.

Module installation
Insert the POWERCAM.PRO module into a free decoder slot. On the screen, you should see information about the initialization of the slot and the launch of the module. In the decoder's CI menu you can see the current version of the module, e.g. PCAM 4.6.
