Tuner in the new DVB-T2 HEVC H.265 standard
The new standard enables cheaper TV signal transmission, as it makes better use of the radio spectrum used in TV signals - broadcasting the signal will therefore be cheaper. With more data transmitted on a single frequency channel and more efficient compression, we will be able to enjoy more programs. The change is necessary because of EU regulations. They enforce that channels 49 to 60 should be reserved for modern data transmission - 5G due to the growing demand for high-definition content. For this reason, the current standard can no longer be used - it is necessary to shift broadcasting to lower frequencies, as the bandwidth gets narrower. If the change did not take place - the broadcast of many of our favorite programs would be truncated.
