BIRA XS12R-C electric strike
The XS-C series is characterized by an integrated slide that provides a latch cover allowing the electric strike to be installed without widening the opening in the door frame for the swinging striker. It is widely used in private, office and public buildings, both for aluminum, steel, wood and PVC doors. The XS-C series is especially recommended for rimless doors (without rebate).
In addition, the XS12R-C model is equipped with a slip.
Slip is another way to guide the handle tongue, it ensures its smooth operation and protects the door frame from damage. It also prevents the handle lock tongue from falling into the space between the electric strike and the doorframe, which can cause the door to lock. The slide integrated into the electric strike, as well as the slide used in the striker plate, is ideal for flapless (rimless) doors and narrow door frames. The special design of the electric striker latch mechanism and the special casing that covers the electric striker latch mechanism with a slip to the lock tongue results in opening with minimal tilt.
