The antenna allows reception of digital radio standard DAB+
DAB+ is a digital radio standard. This standard is widespread in Europe and around the world.
Digital radio allows a much larger number of radio programs to be placed in a single frequency block than is the case with analog FM radio. In the case of DAB+, several to a dozen programs can be placed in a single frequency block.
In addition, DAB+ offers additional services that are not available on analog radio. For example, these include:
- SPI - or program guide
- Slideshow - the ability to present images, such as album covers, etc....
- Journaline - an extensive text service
The biggest advantage of DAB+ is the ability to shape the sound quality depending on the applied bit rate of the data stream. With a lower bit rate for a program based primarily on conversations, interviews, the surplus obtained can be used to improve the quality of a music program, for example, dedicated to classical music. This includes the use of a 5.1 audio system
Digital radio is also simplicity of operation. DAB+ receivers display the available program list, from which we select the program we are interested in. The list of programs is determined automatically, so we do not have to focus on searching for the right ?frequency?
