Poynting is introducing a completely new range of antenna enclosures, the ePoynt series. The ePoynt enclosures are designed to fit a variety of modules, routers, transforming the antenna enclosure into customer premises equipment (CPE) ? simply add your own LTE/5G router. The ePoynt enclosure can accommodate routers up to 185 x 145 x 45 mm. The ePoynt-2 antenna housing (EPNT-2) uses the world-renowned artificial magnetic conductor (AMC) technology from the XPOL-2-5G antenna. It provides a polarized, unidirectional, high-gain antenna that delivers broadband coverage from 698 to 960 MHz and 1710 to 3800 MHz, making it ideal for LTE and 5G deployments.

- The ePoynt series has room to accommodate various router modules, transforming the antenna enclosure into customer premises equipment (CPE). The enclosures can accommodate routers up to 185 mm x 145 mm x 45 mm.
The EPNT-2 contains four polarized cellular antennas, two unidirectional antennas with 11 dBi peak gain and two omnidirectional antennas with 5 dBi peak gain. This makes it ideal for 4x4 MIMO or dual 2x2 MIMO routers. The EPNT-2 also includes two omnidirectional dual-band Wi-Fi antennas that cover the 2.4 GHz and 5 to 6 GHz Wi-Fi bands for 2x2 MIMO. Combining our XPOL-2-5G unidirectional antenna with a world-class router provides exceptional performance and increased data throughput. The EPNT-2's housing is also designed to withstand adverse weather conditions, making the antenna waterproof and weatherproof with an IP65 rating.
Installation of the router in the enclosure has been simplified. Combining the external antenna with the router in an integrated enclosure results in a self-contained unit. The ePoynt series will offer very low loss between the router and the antenna due to the short cables. This means that the maximum RF signal is transmitted between the network base station and the router. This will ensure maximum throughput, less RF fading and increased reliability of the connection. If the antenna outside is connected by GSM cable to the router, which is inside the building, we need to pay attention to the length of the cable, because the GSM cable generates losses - in the new series this problem is solved due to the use of an industrial router, resistant to temperatures and weather conditions inside the antenna housing. The GSM cable is therefore very short, and from the housing to the router we connect switches or access points inside the building with a lossless LAN cable.
EPNT-1 and EPNT-2 is a housing with a small size of 264 x 260 x 168 mm? The antenna has hardware for wall or pole mounting and is equipped with suction cups for window mounting. The antenna complies with relevant CE and RoHS standards, as stated in the technical sheets. The antenna is also rated for temperatures from -40°C to +70°C and will withstand winds of up to 220 km/h, and has an impact resistance of IK 08.
