The PoE switch by Cudy will allow us not only to distribute the Internet signal to various devices, but in addition provide them with power. The switch has 8 ports with a speed of 10/100Mbps, so we have the ability to connect multiple devices without worrying about the speed of data transfer. This model allows you to power devices up to 120W (up to 32W per port). The switch has auto-detection of power supply, which prevents burning out a non-standard device. The PoE switch is compliant with the IEEE902.3af/at standard. The switch is ideal for network installations, monitoring, etc. In addition, it supports VLAN and CCTV functions.
Power over Ethernet PoE-what is it?
Power over Ethernet (PoE for short) is a technology for transmitting power over an Ethernet cable. This allows us to simultaneously power the device and provide information exchange. PoE technology is particularly popular for IP cameras, VoIP phones, Internet access points (Access Point) and POS terminals. Network devices using PoE are convenient to use, which makes them well-liked by installers. Taking for example a surveillance network-normally one would have to pull separately the power and transmission cable to each camera. Here we can use a switch that will both power the devices and transmit information from them.
Watchdog guarantees uninterrupted operation of PoE devices
The PoE watchdog constantly monitors the connection status of remote hosts. If an error is detected on a remote PoE device, the PoE switch immediately reboots the device to return it to normal operation.
